Welcome To Ayrshire Advanced Drivers

The Group was originally started in1972 as Ayr & District Safe Drivers' Association. We are independent and self-financing but maintain close contact with the local Strathclyde Road Policing Department and also with the Road Safety Offices of the local councils. Based in Ayr, Ayrshire Advanced Drivers provides coaching in advanced driving for the Ayrshire area of the west of Scotland.

The motto of the group is 'Forward with Safety' and our aim: to encourage and promote safe driving through the implementation of the System of Car Control as set out in 'Roadcraft'. Driver coaching is tailored to each individual member's needs, but it is the declared aim of the Club to bring everyone up to RoSPA standards.

Joining is open to all full licence holders (cars) at all levels of driving experience who wish to improve their driving. New members may attend at any time or phone for a free demo drive. An information leaflet is available on application.
